WSET Hybrid Level 3 Award in Wines - Online from anywhere

We are taking WSET hybrid. The same WSET qualification, with hybrid efficiency.

This model is for students with a busy schedule, but who still want to learn tasting technique in a classroom setting.

The course can be taken from anywhere with an internet connection. Live scheduled classes are done online, then students come to a tasting workshop to learn tasting technique and to complete the exam.

You complete your own personal study along with the online lectures over the months prior to the workshop, and then zip in for a weekend to do the tasting workshop and complete the exam. The tasting workshop and exam is completed over one weekend (5 days in Tofino). You still get a personal instructor for the online classes and scheduled Q&A sessions, a chance to answer all those burning questions.

Course Outline:

• 8 x 2.5 hour online classes (live and recorded)
• 2 x 2 hr Q&A sessions with your instructor
• 2 day - tasting workshop and exam

Flexibility. Can’t make a scheduled online class? It’s recorded so you can watch it later. It is your schedule, your time, so we want to make it flexible.

Wine Tastings

While we will introduce the WSET tasting technique in the on-line classes, and you are encouraged to practice your tasting during the course, you will have a 1.5 day in-class tasting workshop to perfect your tasting skills. 

You will learn the WSET systematic approach to tasting with our qualified instructors in the classroom over the 1.5 days, tasting a selection of wines from around the world. 

Exam

The exam will take place in the afternoon of day 2 of the weekend.

About WSET Level 3

WSET Level 3 is an advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts. 

For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.

Pre-requisites

Completion of WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or equivalent is required to register for Level 3.

You must be 19 years of age or older.

Purchase of a Tasting Pack or providing your own set of 6 x ISO glasses is required.
