Exam Resits & Date Changes

This page is for WSET Exam Resits or to change your booked Remote Invigilation date.

If you need to resit a WSET exam, you have the option to join with an existing, scheduled exam with one of the in-class courses, or take the Level 1 or Level 2 exam by remote invigilation.

For Level 3 resits, please contact us. Resits are done with any in-class Level 3 scheduled course. 

If you need to change your Remote Invigilation exam date, it must be done 10 working days before exam date and there is a $25 admin fee. Email info@wineplus.ca with your new requested date, time and time zone after purchase.

In-class Exam Resit (Level 1 or 2)

You can resit your Level 1 or Level 2 wine or spirits exam with any scheduled level 1, 2 or 3 class in any of our locations. Please book 15 working (Mon-Fri) days in advance. See wineplus.ca for upcoming class dates. Exams are on the final day of all scheduled courses. Email info@wineplus.ca with the requested class date 15+ days before exam date.

Remote Invigilation Exam Resit (Level 1 or 2)

Remote Invigilation Exams can be done any time (except between 10:30pm and midnight UK time). Allow 10 working (Mon-Fri) days notice to book – Please Enter requested Time, Time Zone & Date in Order Notes section in your Cart (or alternatively you can email us this information)

Remote Invigilation Exams have an extra fee due to the need for an online invigilator. 

Instructions to order your RI exam resit:

1. Check information below under Cancellations, Changes and What is remote invigilation?
2. Choose a date – (at least 10 working (Mon-Fri) days in advance)
3. Pick a specific time to sit your RI exam (any time except between 10:30pm and midnight UK time. Use this time converter)
   
4. Submit order & exam time – In “Order Notes” section on Cart page – Enter Time, Exam Date, Time Zone

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 10 working days before the exam. Cancellations within 10 days of the exam are non-refundable. 

Changes

Changes to the exam date and time can be made up to 10 working days before scheduled exam. There will be an administration charge of $25 to change exam time/date.

Any changes within 10 days of the exam date are, unfortunately, non-refundable. If you miss your RI exam and/or need to re-book, you will have to purchase a new exam. See here for details.

What is remote invigilation?

Remote Invigilation (RI) enables a candidate to sit their Level 1 or level 2 exam on a computer in a secure, invigilated environment from their home where they are monitored via webcam, screen sharing technology and a secondary recording device.

3. Make sure that the name you used to register for your WSET exam matches the name on your official photographic ID. Please contact us if the names don’t match.
